I Hate My Job

I hate my job. The restaurant is like a miniature high-school. Everything I turn around there are people whispering and gossiping about other employees. There is about a bagillion separate cliques and people are so two-faced. The drama of some is enough to make me want to smack them on the back of the head. Because of it being the best fast food chain out there, we have to be very quick and efficient. The older people are the worst. If they end up sitting there for more then 3 minutes they just let loose. The customer can tear you apart. They can literally turn the best day you have ever had into a day of hell. So much stress comes with having to make the order fast and perfect without fault. Usually when I ask to go to the bathroom, I go to the small room, shut off the lights, and just sit behind the door in darkness. I feel like crying at times. I hate it when I let myself get to me (weird I know). Tomorrow after church I'm planning on applying at the springs. Better wages and I don't have to talk to customers. I hate my job.

Comments:
unfortunately every job has drama. tons of cliques and comments. sucks

maybe thats why i havent applied yet. maybe something that doesnt involve food would be better

get outta there as fast as you can. no wonder you hate it...

you get that stuff everywhere you go to some degree or another. some places are worse than others for sure. you can choose not to be involved in it though. maybe others will follow.

hey im with you there, i hate it to!!!!

sigh...welcome to the working world Mitch. Every job does tend to have this problem. Mine is really bad as well. Gets me down sometimes. Very frustrating. A friend kept telling me that maybe I was supposed to be there. Maybe I was the light in the darkness. Maybe you are too. Hang in there. Do get out if you can but know that every place has it's gossipers and people that act like they are 2 rather then their real age.

Hey Mitch!

Crazy, I found your blog on Google's blogsearch when I was looking for Camp Kawkawa...

Sorry your job is getting you down! It's hard to get beyong that stuff sometimes. People's nastiness is hard to take. Hope things get better!

~~~~~~~
I set up a website where people can write in about their experiences at Kawkawa - memories, things they learned there, people who influenced them, etc. It is not any kind of fundraiser, just a place to tell your stories.
I would love it if you would take a peek and perhaps leave a comment! If you know of others who would be interested, pass on the site to them, too! Just click my name to go to the site!
Thanks, and God bless! :)
